This incumbent performs moderately complex clerical work involving the typing and processing of documents in a variety of functions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

  • Type letters, reports. Prepare course schedules.
  • Read correspondence to become familiar with contents and determines what procedures to pursue in providing the correct information.
  • Proofread and check completed work for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and format
  • Prepare and type documents to purchase books, supplies, equipment, etc.
  • Perform other clerical duties such as answering telephone, sorting and distributing mail, photocopying or sending faxes. Ensure mail is processed in an expeditious and expeditious manner.
  • Answer written inquiries related to aspects of the office.
  • Assist students with issues/concerns and compile data for students intending to graduate.
  • Enters student data into the computer system.
  • Greet and assist visitors as needed.
